Any Question Bank to share?

by sanity » Sun Jun 21, 2009 3:38 pm
Does any one has a question bank to share a PDF, or Doc. May be I think building question banks and sharing them we can scare the hell out of GMAC as I understand they have a limited set of verbal questions to choose from.
Though we may not get in 100% but if we get 70% of the questions already solved before the test especially the first 6. I think we are in for a ride.

You can't publish questions from the test that have not yet been released to the public. It's illegal and the GMAC has prosecuted people before for that!

Yeah, I understand if there are copyright restrictions on material. But we are not trying to get secret documents or leaking questions into public domain. But have practice of all possible questions that may come up in the exam. After all human being create the GMAT questions so, its like open sourcing those ideas that go behind creating these questions. That will help us prepare better and create a a more equitable test taking platform. Now some people have access to that and some donot , I think that is illegal.

Its like having linux to compete windows you know. Windows cannot sue the linux development community inspite of most of the work that happens in the linux world today are copyrighted by leading software companies.

Yes, if you could get 70% of the question bank to share (28,000 questions, more or less, so good luck), you would 'scare the hell' out of GMAC - you'd scare them to the extent that they'd sue you (the last time this happened, they won a judgment approaching $3 million), prevent you from ever taking the GMAT and thus pursuing an MBA, shut down any forum that distributed the material, and quickly remove all publicized questions from their database, meaning that people who had such questions would have no particular advantage anyway. To disclose even a single current test question is a violation of the contract you enter into with GMAC when you take the test, so doing so exposes you to significant civil (and perhaps criminal) liability, and it also violates the rules of this forum.
