C. it has and will continue to perpetuate the shared artistic vision of ABC and his mentor and collaborator DEF,

D. it has perepetuated and will continue perpetuating the artisitic vision that ABC an dhis mentor and collaborator DEF shared,

Credited Answer:E

I however dont think the answer should be E. It should be D since it more closely maintains the meaning of the original sentence. Any thoughts?

it has perepetuated and will continue perpetuating the artisitic vision that ABC an dhis mentor and collaborator DEF shared

I noticed a few concerns in the above statement.

(1)since the death of ABC in 1972,it has perepetuated (Makes sense)
However, since the death of ABC in 1972, it will continue perpetuating (Future 'will' does not agree with 'Since')
(2)Pronoun Error: collaborator DEF shared, who both XXX
(3)I am not too sure about this being wrong
Continue to perpetuate is prefered to continue perpetuating

"they" cannot replace the singular "XYZ Company." A and B are out.

"continued to perpetuate" in E implies that there was perpetuation in the past because of the word "continued" so the meaning does not in fact change.

My confusion was coming from the following:

from time of death of ABC to date: continued to perpetuate - implies that there is perpetuation - agree
today:continued to perpetuate - implies there is perpetuation - agree
from tomorrow and on wards: where is the will continue to perpetuate in the future coming across? or is this implied somewhere?

Its the sole reason i was going for D.

thanks again for the time.

The word "perpetuate" implies its continuation into the future. That is the definition of "perpetuate" essentially.
