A. would fail if the density of the timber wolf population in that region is more numerous
B. would fail provided the density of the timber wolf population in that region is more
C. should fail if the timber wolf density in that region was greater
D. will fail if the density of the timber wolf population in that region is greater
E. will fail if the timber wolf density in that region were more numerous

1. I like to know if the 'If clause' can have future tense? (This question is not related to any of the choices aboove)
For e.g.: If I will go to cinema, I will eat pizza. [ Is this sentence correct?]
I have seen in GMAT usually such sentences are written as: If I go to cinema, I will eat pizza.
2. Is 'IF+ would+ then ' construction wrong?

Scientists have identified an asteroid, 2000 BF19, that is about half a mile wide and, if it strikes Earth, it can do tremendous damage to part of the planet but probably not cause planetwide destruction.
A. and, if it strikes Earth, it can do tremendous damage to part of the planet but
B. and, if it would strike Earth, part of the planet could experience a tremendous amount of damage but it would
C. and that, if it were to strike Earth, could do tremendous damage to part of the planet but would
D. and that, if Earth is struck by it, can do part of the planet tremendous damage, but it would
E. and that, if it strikes Earth, it could experience a tremendous amount of damage but

Is one of the reason B is wrong is because it has 'if+would+then' construction

On the GMAT, IF + SUBJECT + WILL and IF + SUBJECT + WOULD will always be wrong.
B: and, if it would strike Earth...
The clause in red is sufficient reason to eliminate this answer choice.

Greater is used for uncountable noun.

Density is uncountable ..so density....in that region is greater

Numerous is used for countable noun. However Numerous is Unidiomatic
