In the old days, this was of course the only way to prepare, but with the computerized testing environment, I would recommend you stick to the computer version for prep as it will simultaneously help you with the math and verbal wrote skills and also the test environment of the assesment center where you will actually have to sit for the test. Thge actual material, however should be the same, so if your power is out, use the paper tests :)
