Sketch a graph and plot those two points on it.
You will see that both the statements mean the same thing i.e. line k passes through (1,1) and (1,-1). For line k to pass through at (1,1) and intersect with line m at (1,-1), it HAS to intersect x-axis at the point (1,0).
However, as we have no additional information about line m, neither statement is sufficient. If line m is y=-1, the answer to the question is yes. In any other case, the answer is no.
