Uninformed about students ’ experience in urban classrooms, critics often condemn schools ’ performance as gauged by an index, such as standardized test scores, that are called objective and can be quantified and overlook less measurable progress, such as that in higher-level reasoning.

Question - What does that modify here -- Should it not modify "standardized test scores" ???

Question - What does that modify here -- Should it not modify "standardized test scores" ???
Kindly underline the SC part.

That modifies "INDEX"

That can never modify the standardized test scores if it does comma is not required.

A & B can be eliminated for because of "that are", we need that is"

D & C - can be quantified - is incorrect - shows uncertainty

E is not the best either, but best among worst.

Therefore E.

How can this qtn be from an authentic source

That is uses as a non restricitve modifer...This is impossible

MGMAT, GMAT Prep will never support this

( Dont know about KAPLAN)

In short, for me all are wrong.
