What is the quickest method to solve this?

Bethany bought an unspecified number of chocolate boxes, each of which costs $371. The clerk at the counter incorrectly punches the cost as $731 while calculating the total. Bethany thereby had to shell out an additional $9,360. What was the actual value of the bill?
Answer Choices
A. $10,842
B. $9,646
C. $9,872
D. $9,360
E. $9,000

Extra charge per box = 731-371 = 360.
Number of boxes = (total extra charge)/(extra charge per box) = 9360/360 = 26.
Amount paid = (number of boxes)(charge per box) = 26*731.
Since 6*1 = 6, the correct answer choice must has a units digit of 6.

The correct answer is B.
