Exactly 36% of the numbers in set S are even multiples of 3. If 40% of the even integers in set S are not multiples of 3, what percent of the numbers in set S are not even integers?

(A) 76%
(B) 60%
(C) 50%
(D) 40%

Set S has A odd integers and B Even Integers.

Even multiples of 3 are all divisible by 6.
Hence exactly 36% of (A+B) are multiples of 6.

40% of B are not multiples of 6.
Hence 60% of B are multiples of 6.

Therefore 0.36A+0.36B = 0.6B
0.36A = 0.24B
3A = 2B
A = 2B/3

We need percentage of non even integers. Which means we need percentage of A in A+B
2B/3 / (5B/3) * 100
= 40%
