Are RC Passages adaptive?

Are the atcual RC passages adaptive, or just the questions?

In other words, if you're doinf well on the verbal section will you see a more difficult (longer, denser) passage than if you're not doing as well?

Or, are you given the same RC passage, regradless of how you're scoring, but the questions are more difficult?

Answer to your question is "Partial"
I think it is adaptive at the time when it it selects the passage. But once started all questions are not adaptive. And, it is possible if you answer first few correct then it could give you fewer problem so as to eat your time more effectively.
This is entirely based on my experience and truly I am not Verbal expert.......but on a path to improve

The passages themselves are adaptive but questions are not. Questions will remain same irrespective of whether you are doing all of them wrong or all of them right.
The reason is that GMAT test creators found it too difficult to create so many different questions based on their pool for each RC passage. So passage itself is of certain difficulty level which will come up based on the verbal questions you have answered before but the questions will be fixed to be asked for those RCs.
