College Transcripts Question

by andybex » Sun Oct 28, 2012 10:58 pm
Esteemed gurus, I have a question about listing colleges / college transcripts.

My undergraduate transcript lists courses I took during high school that awarded college credit.

The transcript does not list grades awarded in those courses.

Do I need to submit transcripts from those places as well? Should I list them in the application as places I attended? Or is their inclusion on my main college transcript enough?

Thank you!

Ideally you should include all the transcripts that provide grade info for all courses that were part of your degree but these rules may be different from b-school to b-school, and may change year to year. It would be wise in this case to write to admission committees of the schools you are planning to apply to to get accurate factual information.

Hmmm actually I don't know how it works in your college, but usually the way I have seen the way things work, AP courses and the like are counted as Pass credits in your college transcript, and you do not need to send your high school transcript. In general, Grad programs don't care about what happened in high school or before, and if your college counted it for credit it is sufficient to send the College Transcript.

But to be sure, it couldn't hurt to send a quick email to the AdCom office.
