The U.S. Department of Labor projects a rosy future for computer engineers. According to the "2010-2011 Occupational Outlook" report from the department's Bureau of Labor Statistics, the profession is expected to experience tremendous growth in the decade between 2008 and 2018. Computer engineers with bachelor's or higher degrees will be especially well-positioned to take advantage of the field's expansion.
