Very difficult to explain without the aid of a diagram.

The area enclosed by the function is a square with vertices at (10,0), (0,10), (-10,0) and (0,-10). Each quadrant of the co-ordinate axes has the same triangle (and there are 4 of them).
Area of triangle = 1/2 x 10 x 10 = 50

Total area = 50 x 4 = 200
