number properties

Hi there,

after going thru thenumber properties book of mgmat, i still think that i do not have grip over the concepts, can anyone please suggest me any other books or any other resourcesi can go through.

Hi red217,

Is there any particular aspect of Number Properties that you find difficult?

As a nudge, most Number Properties are based on rules that you can FIGURE OUT. For example...

What's an Odd x Odd? How do you prove it? Do you really need a book to tell you what this rule is?

@ Rich.C No offense Sir! but i think all of math IS common sense. and for that matter WHY IS there a whole book on the number properties section?
if you can FIGURE OUT a problemdoes not means its true for everyone!!

I did not mean for my tone to be anything other than encouraging.

You CAN figure out these rules.

While the GMAT does require a certain amount of memorization, it's adaptive nature means that you're going to be tested on your flexibility (and ability to figure things out). That's all that I was attempting to get across in my last post.

I concur with Rich. It is better to figure out the rules and understand the concept underneath rather than blindly memorizing numerous rules.

Goes without saying that Rich's tone was no where near condescending.
A good question also deserves a Thanks.
