nycgrl,

The original sentence is stating that Corleone, a town, is famous because of "The Godfather."

The sentence you chose states that the mobster is famouse because of "The Godfather."

Your answer is incorrect. However, my answer was incorrect as well.

I chose E, because I thought the original sentence was vague. The original sentence could either mean that the town itself is close to those the mobster trusted, or the mobster chose the town because he wanted to be close to those he trusted most.

However, according to MGMAT choice E is incorrect because it is too wordy.

Don't feel bad, though, MGMAT baffles a lot of people on this forum who usually perform well on the verbal section.

D : Incorrect mobster modifies near to he most trusted
E : passive

A : Correct

Town correctly modifies Corleone
