My IMO is D

3/2 split ......spins vs spin

here we need a plural verb so i came down to 'spin' and 'detremined by' is correct idiom

Surely narrowed down to D and E. From the two options...

D is passive and E is a causal relation. Went for E. 50% chance anyway.
