1) If P is multiple of q^2, (p,q) will have a plenty no of values. So, single value of
the answer is not possible. So, NOT SUFFICIENT
2) if q is multiple of P, then scenario is same as previous one. So, NOT SUFFICIENT

Both 1) and 2) can not be true. So, together 1) and 2) is also NOT SUFFICIENT

When combining both statements, what about the value of 1 which is possible


Answer should be C

???? Any thoughts???

I think you are right.

1)p is mul of q^2 => p >= q^2
2)q is mul of p => q >= p

combining both q >= p >= q^2
=> q >= q^2
if q is a +ve integer, then only value possible for q is 1 and no other value possible, so p should be 1 as well.

so p/q^2 = 1 hence sufficient.
