D & E are wrong because of the use of pluaral "are"...................left with A,B and C out of which in A,B and C the use of "if" is there which sounds uncertainity therefore the use of "were" should be there in the sentence, A and C uses "were" but in B the use of "was" is there, in GMAT with uncertainity "were" should be used with if.....
lets keep A and C as of now...................B is also wrong because of the use of plural "they" as in the sentence it's "Not one" which is singular......................C is wrong because of the use of plural "them".......................

therefore the answer should be A.....................wats the OA???
