MBA of MSCM

Hi Stacy ,

I need your help in deciding field of study .

I have 9 years of work experience with a Global sourcing company for Target-stores USA. I already have one MBA from Pakistan's recognized University. Now at age of 31 I want to study further for better future prospects.

I am wondering either i should do another MBA from some internationally recognized University OR do Masters in Supply chain Management from Cranfield school of business.

Do you guys have any ideas on pros and cons of these degrees and what course of action should i undertake.

Regards, Jawad

Dear Jawad,

It depends on what you want to do with your career. If you know you want to stay in supply chain, then the MS program is a good option. If you decide you would rather have a broader degree like a MBA, then you need to determine if that is a possibility before investing lots of time into the process. Since you already have a MBA from Pakistan, you might not be eligible for a MBA program in the US or EU. If your MBA is equivalent to a US MBA, then that is not an option for you. The best way to determine if your degree is equivalent is to have it evaluated by a global credentialing service like Global Credential Evaluators or World Evaluation Services.

Good luck,
Lisa
