in what ratio must a person mix tea costing 60/kg, 75/kg and 100/kg so that resultant mixture when sold at 96/kg yield a profit of 20 percent.
a)4:5:6
b)1:2:3
c)2:3:4
d)none
To obtain a profit of 20% the cost of the tea should be 80/Kg.
If u mix 75 and 100 tea in 'some' proportion u will get a tea costing 80/kg, thereby not needing to mix 60 tea altogether.
Same way if u mix 60 and 100 tea in 'some different' proportion u will get tea costing 80/kg, thereby not needing 75 tea altogether.
so the above qs may have many answers,...
1. Without mixing 60 tea
2. Without mixing 75 tea
3. Mixing all the teas.
SO I would go for D. NONE
