by akshatgupta87 » Thu Jul 05, 2012 10:38 pm
I would like to share my profile and discuss school options with you.

GMAT History:-
GMAT 1: 600 (Q:49,V:22)
GMAT 2: 620 (Q:48,V:27)
GMAT 3: 580 (Q:50,V:18)
After giving 3 attempts, I could not think of re-taking GMAT anymore

Work Experience:-44 months by the time I join.
Working in Infosys Ltd.
Promotion: Recruited as Systems Engineer Trainee. Promoted to Systems Engineer and now working as a Senior Systems Engineer.
Working in Banking & Capital Markets Division for client Bank of America.

Academics:- Bachelor in Engineering in Electronics & Telecomm.
GPA: 3.6
2nd topper in final year and awarded gold medal
Studied French for 8 years during school.

Extra Curricular Activity:-
Active member of my college IEEE student branch. Served as the Secretary of my college IEEE branch.
Organized various events in my college such as paper presentation.
Awarded Lt. Governor award for my work in Scouts & Guides in 2001.

I feel GMAT score will be an overall low point in my application :(

One key point: I won't be looking for a job post-MBA in US, as I have to return back to my country due to family constraints.

Can you please suggest some schools.

Thanks in Advance..Really appreciate your time and effort.

Hi akshatgupta87,

What are your goals post-graduation, and do you have a preference in location?

As a note regarding the GMAT, remember that on your application your highest score is self-reported, so admissions teams will focus on your best score. This is why you shouldn't be concerned about the impact of taking the test multiple times. If you decide to take the test again, here is a free GMAT resource:
