Hi Ron,

I have been writing MGMAT tests for 1 year.
I see a difficulty level change in questions since 2 months. There seem to be a lot of new influx of questions of higher time taking and difficulty, mainly in the range from 15 to 30
And the standard of SC questions seems to have improved for the past two months.
I scored Q47, V37 and T690 in a test yesterday.

I used to score consistently Q49 in Gmatprep and Mgmat tests.
I just had this feeling. I wanted to check with you Mgmat guys whether you are working on improving difficulty of questions level.

MGMAT after Q10 onwards start to throw some really convoluted questions, its good as a reality check , not sure if it reflects GMAT difficulty level. I make mistakes in GMAT DS problems - they are due to a lack of attention to detail and/or concentration issues. MGMAT on the other hand throws me out of my comfort zone. Initially I was quite excited MGMAT Advanced Quant - but after my experience with their tests, feel that 6 tests alone would be sufficient.

we have been expanding the test pool lately, but mostly in verbal. there aren't very many extremely new math questions. (in the past year, most of the new math question writing went to the Advanced Quant book.)

you wrote "i have been writing MGMAT tests for 1 year" --> how many times have you repeated the tests? there are only 6 distinct tests available in our software; your wording makes it sound as though you have been taking the tests on a consistent basis for a whole year, implying that you have been repeating them. have you been repeating the tests?

I finished taking all 6 tests(first time) 6 months back. I asked MGMAT person to reset them. I started to take them again(second time). I found large variety of SC questions with improved difficulty this time. The fear of inflated score is pretty much there in me. I checked with Kaplan free diagnostic test. It gave me 680. Before kaplan free diagnostic test, I never took any Kaplan test. Hence I feel that my MGMAT scores, despite being repetitive tests, are pretty much in my range.
I gave one more MGMAT test yesterday.
This time the scores are
Q51, V36, T 710
My target Gmatscore is 720. I dont know whether I am ready for the exam?
I always felt that MGMAT is accurate predictor of likely gmat score next to Gmatprep.
I have consumed Gmatprep tests too. Now, I dont have many test options to look up to. Can you suggest some tests?

I took the first two MGMAT practice tests, and in my experience the math section was a lot harder than the real test's math section. I was initially dismayed, but ultimately I think it's a good thing because you get used to taking a test that's harder than the real thing.

are you saying "improved difficulty" because the listed difficulty levels were higher? (i.e., you saw more problems that were actually marked 700-800, etc.)

if not, then you must understand that you are just guessing here; it's not possible for test takers to assess, with any significant degree of accuracy, the "difficulty level" of problems.
nor should you care! if you are already scoring 600+ then you shouldn't care about the difficulty level of the problems at all. read here:

perhaps i am misunderstanding your question.

you've scored 710 (= not even different from 720, statistically speaking) in practice, so you are at this level already. i think you know what the answer is.
