Ratio of questions in the verbal section

Hey guys, what's the ratio of each question type in the verbal section?

The last practice test i've done had lots of sentence correction problems and just a few of critical reasoning ones.
Is it randomly assimilated?

Semi-randomly assimilated. The ratio is approximately 15-18 SC, 9-12 CR, 12-14 RC (in four passages). These ratios are presented as a range, as some random deviation is expected from test to test, and from test-taker to test taker. In any case, the consensus is that SC is indeed the majority format, and CR should indeed have the lowest frequency of the three.

This may not be the right place for this question, but do the questions adapt to your performance on the three types of verbal questions separately or together? Thanks

Geva is quite right, as usual. Sentence Correction is the most numerous of the 3 and CR is the least numerous. The ranges Geva posted are about what I would say as well.

For example, my last two tests March 17, 2010 and Sept 26, 2011 I had 17 and 16 SC and 11 and 10 CR respectively. If you take those two combined I had only 21 CR out of 82 questions, slightly more than 1/4.

This experience is confirmed by other experts, students, postings on the Beat the GMAT, etc.

As to dwarzoha001's question, the verbal adapts as a whole. So your performance in the various types impacts the questions you will encounter in the other types. Do well on SC and you will get tougher RC and so forth.
