Dear Jackieking,
Thanks for your post about HBS 2+2!
On the surface you seem to have the basic building blocks for a strong candidacy with HBS 2+2. You are uniquely international (tri-cultural/tri-lingual, studying abroad, etc), your grades and standardized testing results are excellent and you've had some interesting internships.
Despite these positives, I do have some questions/concerns that I'd need further information on/answers to before specifically advising you:
1) How 'top' is your liberal arts school? Top 5? Top 10?
2) What is the link between a banking internship, an engineering seminar internship and interning with a museum? While these make for a very diverse professional profile, it's unclear how they fit together, how they work with your future goals (which you haven't commented on) or how they fit with your studies in German and mathematics.
3) Related to my above question, do you have a sense of your career vision or passion? What are you hoping to do with the HBS degree? This will be an important aspect of your candidacy (as you can likely gather from some of the essay questions they pose).
4) Beyond the summer internships and your role in the International Club, what sort of activities have you engaged in on campus, during the school year? This element seems a bit light.
Feel free to send a resume to [email protected] if you'd like to have a free, in-depth discussion about your profile with one of our counselors. We've had extensive experience with HBS over the years and have been involved with 2+2 from the start (see our blog for entries on what HBS looks for in this program, etc).
Best of luck,
Graham
