Consecutive GCD?

What is the greatest common divisor of positive integers m and n ?

(1) m is a prime number.
(2) m and n are consecutive integers.



Answer is B.


1 is not suff.
2. Could the GCD be 1? ex 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 3 and 4....

The GCD of any two consecutive positive integers is indeed 1. That's why (2) is sufficient alone.
