Yes...why then they will oppose govt action....how this is shown using B ?Spring2009 wrote:I think the main point here is the profitability:

If their technologies will be used, surely they can earn a lot of money from selling these technologies.

I don't think we must know why they oppose government's actions. What we need to do is to resolve discrepancy.goelmohit2002 wrote:Yes...why then they will oppose govt action....how this is shown using B ?Spring2009 wrote:I think the main point here is the profitability:

For example, you hate Peter, however, you always give him beautiful words. Why? Because you are taking advantages of him in something. But you don't have to explain why you hate Peter. I think this is the same thing as you don't have to give a reason for opposing government's action.

Nice analogy, Spring. Yes, we don't necessarily have to understand completely why - we do have to understand that some reason does exist.
Again, though, as I mentioned in my last post, I'm not totally happy with the wording on B already and I do think that B should have spelled out the connection a little bit more (re: why the companies opposed the gov't action). So if you are also hung up on that same point, then don't worry about, because I also don't like it.

Thanks a lot Stacey for clarifying this problem. There is one more Manhattan CAT problem in which two options looks equally correct.....Can you please look at the following link:Stacey Koprince wrote:Nice analogy, Spring. Almost everybody thought that option should be C.....but somehow after reading the correct answer we are finding the reason why the answer should be correct
