Present Perfect = Has/Have + Past participle
Past Perfect = Had + past participle

In Present Perfect, you use Has/Have depending on the subject right?

John HAS played basketball since he was an adolescent. (Johnny = singular, HAS = singular)

Johnny and Paul HAVE played basketball since they were adolescents. (Johnny and Paul = plural, HAVE = plural)

In Past Prefect, you use HAD + past particle. So you use HAD regardless if the subject is plural or singular?

The movie HAD ENDED but we remained in our seats. ( Movie = singular, HAD = singular)

The movies HAD Ended but we remained in our seats ( Movies = plural, had = plural?)

Is this correct?

You're correct on both of the tenses. Present perfect uses "has" for third-person singular, and "have" for third person plural and first and second person singular or plural. Past perfect is always "had."

First person singular is "I", as in "I have written..." and second person singular is "you," as in "you have written..." These uses of the present perfect are in contrast to the third person singular, which is he, she, or it: "he has written..." etc. Plural, whether first, second, or third person, uses "have" for present perfect, e.g. "They have written," "you have written," and "we have written..."
For past perfect, no matter what person or number is being used, you say "had."
