Hi,
Could someone please help me understand the answers to the following three GMATPrep problems? Thanks.

1) If k is not equal to 0,1 or -1, is 1/k > 0?
i) 1/ (k-1) > 0 (Sufficient)
ii) 1/ (k+1) > 0 (Don't know)


2) When the +ve integer n is divided by 25, the remainder is 13. What is the value of n?
i) n< 100 (obviously, insufficient)
ii) When n is divided by 20, the remainder is 3.


3)If the numbers X and Y are not integers, the value of X is closest to which integer?
i) 4 is the integer that is closest to X + Y
ii) 1 is the integer that is closest to X -Y

K= -1/2 or k=2
Answer=A

n=63, 103
Combined, N=63, sufficient, Answer=C

Here is my take on Q3:

Statement I: X + Y ~ 4
Nothing more is given to isolate X. INSUFF

Statement II: X - Y ~1
Nothing more is given to isolate X. INSUFF

I don't know if I have the right idea here... but this is how I approached it.
Statements I & II: Combining the equations above, 2X ~ 5, or X ~ 2.5

Whatever X is, it close to straddling the midway point between integers 2 and 3.
It could be incrementally greater than 2.5 and thus taking closer to 3.
Likewise, it could be incrementally less than 2.5, and thus be closer to 2.
INSUFF, so I choose E.
