Hello Everyone,

Initially, I had my heart set on attending San Diego State for my MBA starting in Fall 2012, but now I am beginning to have second thoughts. Specifically, I have conerns regarding post graduation job placement as it appears that most MBA graduates earn a salary less than what I currently earn. Furthermore, some research has stated that many MBA graduates are still searching for jobs months after graduation. While I believe that you must create your own opportunities rather than wait for them to come to you, the information stated above creates an uneasy feeling.

Therefore, I am interested in evaluating a few other MBA programs and would like to receive a few recommendations for opportunities to explore. By no means am I a stellar student, so I will not be exploring opportunities with top b-schools. Yet, I am open to attending school outside of California, as well as outside of the US. Here is what I am working with:

Undergrad: B.S. in Business, specialization in Marketing
Undergrad GPA: 3.1
First GMAT: 570
Second GMAT: Expecting 620-680
Work Experience: 4 years working in advertising, specifically in communication planning

Looking forward to your feedback.

Thank you for your help.

Well, first I would say, wait on your second GMAT before you figure that out, because 630 and 680 are a whooooole different ballpark.

Second, once you DO get that result, look for schools in which you fit into the middle 80% of GMAT scores, that's always a good place to start. And once you have your score, come back and post here, and we can think this through further with ya.
