Hello all,

I am 6 weeks away from my exam.

I am done with OG 11 - SC & CR
Overall SC hit rate - 60% (timed)
Overall CR hit rate - 53 % (timed)

Overall CR hit rate - 60% (untimed)
Overall SC hit rate - 60 %(untimed)

My Quant hit rate also between 60 - 70%. (timed)

This is worrying me.
I am a 710 + aspirant.I have been religiously making all sort of notes to help myself improve & come out with a 700 + score on the D day.

Need some advice on how to increase accuracy under timed conditions & also need help help regarding what material to take up next as I am done with OG.

best,aj.

P.S - I have been trying hard to implement the strategies I

Hey aj,

Material wise, for verbal, I would suggest you to take a look at MGMAT sentence correction guide and also powerscore book for critical reasoning. You can also a take a look at some of the kaplan books.

Now, about your scores, calculating the hit rate is not the best way to judge your performance as the hit rate is just one of the several variables used to calculate your GMAT score. Have you given a practice GMAT test yet, if not give it, the score that you get would be a much better indication of your preparedness.

Check out posts by Stacey she has given some excellent advice on how to improve scores for SC and CR. Also have you considered joining some class for GMAT, if you are not able to improve scores through self study then you should be actively considering joining a class.
