Preparation Strategy

by soumavadutta » Sat Dec 07, 2013 2:22 am
Hi All,

I am starting with my GMAT preparation. I am looking to sit for the test and ace the same :) by April, 2014.

I have bought the Magoosh Full GMAT prep and OG 13 and OG 12. Please do tell me if this would suffice. Do I need to buy the Manhattan full series for extra practice. Please note I am a full time working professional as well as a non-native in English. So Verbal is my weak link compared to Quants.

Hi soumavadutta,

Have you taken any practice CAT exams yet? If so, how did you score?

Test Takers tend to vary on what they "need" to succeed, so the best way to gauge your progress is to use the material that you have and see how you score on your practice CATs. If you're improving and feeling confident, then the resources that you have should be enough. If you're not seeing the improvement, then some adjustments will need to be made.

Hi Rich,

Thank you for the advice.

I Just started my preparation from 6th Dec. Just going through the forums and Materials I have. Have not yet taken the Diagnostic Test.

I will definitely give one diagnostic test and see where I stand. Just a minor brush of skills before I give. Tending to give a week of light preparation before I sit for the same.
