GMAT Score:500
Ok, so I just took a practice test from GMATPrep and scored a pathetic 490 (32Q 25V). That is down from a 640 (38V 37V) I scored on Vertias Prep test I took in late May (also scored a 590 on a practice test in June). I have absolutely no clue what went wrong, especially with the verbal. I score really well on verbal questions when I do practice problems but that NEVER EVER translates to an actual practice test. As for the quant, well, who knows. I've been trying to do well on this test for over three years now and I have always hovered around 500. I don't know what the hell to do anymore and I'm thinking about giving up on the GMAT and business school altogether. I am not a dumb person but I cannot seem to do remotely well on this exam. Any advice, inspiration or anything would be really appreciated right now.

Hey Rastis,

I think I am in fairly familiar situation like yourselves and just don't seem to exceed the 600 score line despite practicing for the past few years and taking all sort of help (MGMAT)! I have my first GMAT in 3 weeks (after re-scheduling at least 20 times already) and I doubt I am in any position yet to give it yet again. Like yourselves, I might think of dropping the whole idea of doing an MBA altogether unless someone can help us figure out what to do in such situations!

My scores have been around 590 (Q 44 V 26) over the last few times...just not getting there!
