Action plan and Strategy for 720+

Hello friends,

I just completed the Beat the GMAT 60 day study guide course. What I did was to read through and attempt all Manhattan strategy guide series' questions and solve the OG 13. I still have 20 days before the D day. My strike rate is pretty good when I attempt question chapter by chapter, but how I fare when I get a mixed set is something I don't know yet. What I seriously lack is not having done any CATs or GMAT prep tests.
Could you please suggest an action plan for the next 20 days? (This is my first attempt and I wish to score above 720)
Which online test series should I purchase?
Should I go back to revising strategies by chapter before the test day?

If you just completed the 60-Study Guide (https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide), then you should have already completed at least 8 practice tests by now.

Over the next 20 days, you should take several practice tests in order to perfect your time management skills and build your endurance.

As far as which tests to use, the official GMATPrep tests are the most indicative of the real thing. However, when students see that it contains two practice tests, they assume that they can take each test only once, and if they do take them a second time, the questions will be the same.
This is not true. The GMAT is computer adaptive and questions are drawn from a large pool of questions. So, while you may see the occasional duplicate question, the majority of questions will be new to you. In addition to the official practice tests, there are several free tests available from many of the companies on this site. These are all listed in the Study Guide.

Thanks a lot Brent. Super useful. The only part that I didn't do was the tests. Also, I didn't realize that I will get a different set of questions each time :). That said, does it make sense to still buy the Manhattan CAT series (since I see a lot of test takers buying that) or do the GMAT perp & free tests suffice.

It really depends on how your practice tests go.
For example, if you take 5 free practice tests and exceed your target score every time, then you probably don't need to purchase anything. That said, I believe that the MGMAT tests are good. It's up to you.
