(D) not to think or assess, but doing one’s own work
(E) neither to think about one’s own work nor to assess it, it is always simply doing it

I was confused between A and B , but would have gone for A .

I got to answer more by elimination than selection.

b> antedote to eny is work is incorret. changes meaning from one's own work.
c>not parallel - not thinking about or assessing it, but simply DOING IT.
d> not parallel - not to think or assess, but to do ones own work
e>not parallel - neither to think about one’s own work nor to assess it, but to always simply do it.

Hence a sounded most correct.
