Taking a step by step approach to resolve this -

The clause can begin with either "if" or "whether".
We use 'whether' when we are discussing options and use 'if' when there is a condition.
Here we're discussing options and there is no condtion. Hence, we can eliminate options (D) & (E).

Now, deciding on A,B or C -
In option (B), the "their" reference is incorrectly used. Its not clear from the sentence whether it refers to 'one' or 'tourists'

In option (A), the reference of "their" can be to 'tourists' or 'rhinoceroses'

Only option left is (C) where the usage is proper.

Ans: C
