Hi,

I need your help to know about universities taht will fit my profile and score.

I had given my GMAT last year in October and got just 550. Q:36 V:28 AWA:4

My second attempt also did not help me much. Just got 590. I was targetting 650+ but did not score.
Q:36 V:35 AWA:4.5

I had practised a lot for my second attempt and used to get 680. with Q always above 45 but in the real gmat I got a very low score.

BUt now I am keen on joining a univ for my MBA. I cannot wait longer as I have my personal commitments or I would not be able to give my MBA ever. I have started practising again for GMAT, concentrating only on OG for now So if i get 700+ consistently then I will take a date. But I want to apply with my 590 score as well for Septemeber intake 2010. My profile is as follows.

I am a BMS Graduate 2006 passout with First class from Mumbai University. currently working as Senior Account Manager @ a very well known Indian digital agency. I have handled International and National brands helping them exploit internet as an advertising medium. My profile primarily involves strategy, business dev & Client servicing. My total work experience is now 3.5 years and will be completing 4 years at the time I start my course. Workwise "I have an excellent profile but just the GMAT is turning out to be a pain.

I want to go for my MBA specialisation in Marketing & Strategy or International Business.

Please suggest best universities for my intended course and my profile. I have not taken admissions in India even after getting 90 percentile plus in Indian examinations like CET, CAT etc because I feel only a International university can give me the required knowledge and skills that will justify and enhance my profile.

Please suggest. Thanks.(I can send across my Resume on email if required. Please PM your email id.)

If you are going to dedicate the resources and time to an international MBA program, then my guess is that you are seeking entry into a top-tier program. If so, you need to increase your GMAT score at least into the mid-600's. Try to pinpoint your weaknesses on the exam and focus on improving your score either through focused self-study or a professional course.

Hi Rochit,

Since you have specified that you want to just apply to schools and do not have time to re-take GMAT - I can talk to you and provide you further guidance.

Would you like to simply set up a skype conversation if you are in India or a phone call if you are in US?

I can spare an hour to discuss your situation. Please directly email me at [email protected] if you are interested.

Warm regards,
-Sophia
