Question about career in taxation

by GMATFanatic77 » Fri Sep 05, 2008 4:24 am
I work as a data entry worker and what I do is enter information into the computer quickly to meet the production standard. I am am slow typing in information and I am saying all of this is because when it comes to work with tax forms do I need to fill them out quickly? I heard that tax professionals work long hours and they have to file a lot of tax forms which takes them too long. If I become a tax professional do I need to fill out the tax forms quickly?

Thanks,

Jorge

Dear Jorge,

Honestly, I don't know. I have never been a tax professional nor do I know the intricacies of daily tasks. Perhaps you can find a tax professional in your geographical area and do an informational interview? This is a great way to learn about a job, its career path, and the best course of action for you to make the change into the job.

This forum is designed for folks to post questions on the MBA admissions process, not career questions. Going forward, please keep your posts to that topic.
