What can I do to improve my profile for MFE program?

My profile is:

Work experience: IT support (2 year)

GMAT: 720(Q50,V37).

Master: Acturial science in USA. Current GPA 3.7

Undergraduate degree: Computer Science in a University of Hong Kong (2005 graduated)with GPA 2.3.(class ranking: around 30/60)

SOA exam: passed in P and FM..planning to take MFE..

Can anyone give me some suggestion to explain or compensate my GPA in undergradue degree?

In fact, GPA in my previous University is low in general, Ususally, we get a 'C+' if our score is average. Moreover, I have put lot of time in sport teams when I am undergraude student. Should I use these reason to explain my low GPA?

Also, Master in Financial Engineering extremely foucs on Math. Should I take a GRE sub Math to compensate the low GPA?

Hello,

Luckily you have some substantial points to mitigate the low GPA. These are (a) an impressive grad GPA in a rigorous quantitative discipline and (b) evidence that your undergrad program was conservative in grading.

I suggest writing a succinct, straightforward optional essay acknowledging the low undergrad GPA. Note (and provide evidence of) the school’s conservative grading policy. Also note the extracurricular involvement. However, be careful not to make it sound like an excuse -- also take some responsibility and explain that you could have done better. Then note in the essay also that you subsequently proved your academic capability generally and your quantitative strength specifically in your graduate program. Beyond that, your suggestion of the GRE could well help and would not hurt. Good luck!

So, what range of university should I apply for?
Is it my profile good enough for those ranked in 20-30?
