With each statement, you should be able to solve for side-length of the cube, which allows you to solve for area. Answer should be D.

Thanks - the OA is D.

Just curious... Can anyone show me how to get answer from 2)?

Label the side x. The diagonal of the base would be x*sqrt(2) (45-45-90). Pyth. Theorm: x^2 + x*sqrt(2)^2 = 10*sqrt(3)^2.

Solve for x, and you can find volume.
