It is generally true that the Official Guides get roughly more difficult as the question numbers get higher (within each section). For example, the last 50 questions in DS will be more difficult
on average than the first 50 questions, but there may be a handful of easier ones in the harder batch and harder ones in the easier batch, etc.
GMAC does not post the specific difficulty level of OG problems, but we can guess based on the data from thousands of students. Manhattan Prep's GMAT Navigator, for example, tracks the data from every student and lists problems as Easier, Medium, Harder, or Devilish. This can roughly be understood to mean 200-500, 500-600, 600-700, and 700-800 (though no one outside of GMAC can know with absolute certainty).
