Not a good score obviously. Due to time considerations I can't take GMAT again soon.

Can anyone tell me a person having this score but with entrepreneurial experience > 4 years and other modest credentials get admission in some (just some reasonable) university in New York, City.

Also share some schools which may admit such a candidate.

CUNY, HOFSTRA, PACE, FORDHAM, ST.John's, i have heard these names ... So need your advice especially related to job prospects, etc.

Other schools that are considerable?

There is some time and cost limitations. So please share some of the ideas which might help me make a decision.

If I were you, I would consider schools whose GMAT range is around 580 (Hult International business school), pick some schools from top 50 of FT.com, few from BusinessWeek. Work well on your applications and then apply to say 5-10 schools. For applying to 10 schools I would say forget the cost factor, MBA tution fees isn't short amount compared to this initial cost.

It depends what sort of MBA you are looking for, is it a generalist or specialist like finance, marketting etc.

This is my opinion and yea I am not an expert in admission etc, neither I can advise you on job perspectives. But MBAs from top schools usually get jobs subject to market conditions.

Rutgers University has an MBA program that's about as far from the city as Hofstra. If they have classes in jersey City (which I believe they do) then it's even closer at like 10 minute Path ride

We checked the average GMAT scores of those schools you mentioned. The highest average was 600 for Fordham. The rest are much lower. So your score should not be a problem.

Your 4-year entrepreneurial experience should set you apart. Of course, it depends on what kind of business and the related experiences.

In sum, we do not foresee your GMAT score being an impediment in your application to the schools you mentioned.
