610 GMAT, Chances at these schools...

by dak266 » Thu Oct 14, 2010 7:14 am
Hi all,

I just got a 610 and am confused as to whether or not I should take it again. I scored between 600-650 on all practice exams and I am sure that with some more studying I can get between 640-680. I work in DC and am considering part-time MBA programs at Maryland and Georgetown. Do you think I have a shot at both of them or should I retake the GMAT sometime next month? Thanks for your thoughts!

is that score within the 80% range?

I think you would have a chance at Georgetown if you beef up the remainder of your resume and have some connects to the school/area.

I agree with this. Also, you most definitely have a shot at UMD Smith. 580 is their lower range, meaning you are where you need to be.

But GMAT is only one part of your application. With that score, you are in the "let's take a closer look at the rest of the application" pile. So what does the rest of it look like? (GPA, work exp, etc.)
