I have a square with a shaded circle that fits inside. The sides of the square is 2. How do I find the area of the chaded circle?

Side of the square is 2. Assuming that the shaded circle is inscribed in side the square, ie circle touches the sqaure at exactly one point on each side, then center of the circle is half the distance from each side.

==> radius of the circle = hald the side of the square = 1.

Area of the circle = Pi r ^2 = Pi.
