very strange sentence
a)to come close to creates - wrong grammer
b)that hand-made effects pedals providing no working verb in depedent sentence. after that...
c)few of these products managing to come close to creating the characteristic analog sound- also no working verb
d)to came wrong grammer form
and finally E
but i never saw-manage to come close to creating i don`t think that to creating is right
if i obliged to pick up something i will pick E

Carefully look at the non-underlined portion of the sentence. The tense used is simple present (tempts).

A) it is wrong because it uses incorrect (creates). It should use creating (a gerund). The object of a verb (come) cannot be another verb.It should be a noun.

B) B uses creating correctly but makes another mistake. It fails to include a verb in the clause that hand made pedals.... We have pedals (subject) but no verb.providing is not a verb.Hence incorrect.

C) C makes a similar mistake to B in that it misses the main verb in the sentence.Managing is not a verb. We need a helper verb such as are, were.

D) D is incorrect. the main verb in manages(plural of manages) is present and the relative clause that.. has a main verb (provide, which agrees with the subject pedals).but it introduces wrong verb tense (past tense came). By definition infinitives must be to+root form of the verb (come)

E) Although E is awkward ,it is the only grammatically correct sentence.
