Query Regarding Work Experience

Hello

I have a query regarding the work experience. I did diploma and currently persuing BTECH (corrospondence). Alongside i am working in a renowned VLSI firm since 3.5 years.

My BTECH will be over in Jun next year. So will my work experience of 4yrs count? Or do they require the Work Ex after completion of BTECH only (for GMAT)?

For the GMAT, work experience does not matter at all. For Bschool applications it is highly dependent on the school.

Does that mean that my 4 yr experience will not help me anyhow? I thought it is a positive aspect ;-)

I guess there is some confusion..or perhaps i was not clear in asking the question. I meant whether the experience counts for B-schools or not. Do the B-schools consider the experience after BTECH only?

In case there is no fixed criteria, what is usual scenario? Please let me know.
