could not understand the OA: A

I think my confusion is failing to understand the suble difference b/w A and C -- where in A, it is hypothesis versus in C, it is an explanation challenged by author. I chose C -- since its seems like an explanation

Clearly A..

Using POE

B--> plogist suggests 2nd he is not opposing it
C--> plogist i supporting 1st not challenging it
D --> first is the conclusion of the plogist not the judgement advanced in support of it

planktons suffered a major population decline because of lower surface temp and many bottom dwellers depended on planktons...therefore cold caused this decline indirectly....only choice A fits into this pattern....

E--> 2nd is not an exceptional case....

Classic example of a Cause Effect situation:

Effect: The Botton-dweller probably died of the cold temperature indirectly
Cause: They had no food - the plantons died of the cold temperature.

Now one thing to note is that the effect here is a hypotheses because of the word "probably"....

So i pick A

This is clear A.
Look what Ps are trying to say.

You will circle out to A and B.
B says second BF is opposing Ps' point but its not so A.
