There is a very strange pattern I have been observing.

In any Full length or practice test i give, the 1st question of my verbal is always i wrong.
I see this happen about 80% of the times.
Its not anxiety, its not even that I am jittery, I do give more than the required amount of time, but dont know why, what is happening... I fear that my scores would really dip in the real test if something like this to happen.
I currently have a 65 to 75% accuracy in verbal and above 85% in math section.
The test is just 18 days to go... please suggest...

Hi,

The first question on the GMAT is always going to be a mid-level question, so if your ability is below that level, then you should get it wrong. As the test goes on, it will adjust the questions so you begin to get more correct, as they will be more at your ability level. That's the computer adaptive nature of the test.

Don't worry so much about HOW MANY questions you're getting wrong. Instead, look at the LEVEL of questions you're getting wrong. Everyone gets about 50% of the questions wrong, but some people get 500-level questions wrong, and some people get 800-level questions wrong, which makes a big difference as the test scores your ability level.
