I believe attitude is everything, just calm down. I did not really do much review between 2 exams (200 math questions on OG and one prep, that is it.). However, I really calmed down this time.

congratulations on your achievement in exam!

Your score went up 10 points in math and 17 points in verbal within one month. You must have experienced huge psychological strains in your first exam, otherwise how we can explain such variation in the scaled scores.

You said in your short text of 750 score post, that you've practiced from OG. Were these old, retired questions from OG (2,3..11)? Did you do only hard questions from OG?

Congratulations on this great achievement! Great job! It's very inspiring to see a person jump so much from 550 to 750. Clearly something happened during your first take.

Congrats! I, too was doing well on my CATs and felt prepared but then didn't do as well (630) as I was expecting. Please let us know what you did to prepare in your 30 days between tests. Have faith in your faith and yourself...

I almost gave up too...I got a 620 last year...prepared harder and got a 600 3 months later (while working)....I was so mad at life and myself. I almost gave up on EVERYTHING

But this year I took it again in May after many months of preparation, meditation, relaxing, and traveling and working....

I got above a 700......

So the moral is DONT GIVE UP...if you want a good score...and you truly TRULY want a score and you put the effort and focus you will get it

I have similar story like you. I used to score in the range of 650 to 710 in Gmatprep and other tests but scored a 540(Q46, v20) on Oct 21st 2011. I never got such a less score in any of my practice tests.
I am so disapponted and dejected. I did not mess anything. I did everything perfectly allright. I was not even stressed out during my exam day. This is injustice to me. I never deserved this score.

However, I got some inspiration out of your story. But I am not so sure about having scored 750 in practice tests after 3 months, I cant get a 550 in official test

Can you give some advices for people who are alos working 12h a day to study GMAT. I often leave home at 7.30 a.m and be back at 9 p.m and I can't get any words into my mind. I am considering give up my job for standard test preparation. And I sm s non-native.
