GALLON AS A FRACTION OF FULL TANK

COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME A HAND ON THIS ONE?

A CAR TRAVELS 50 M/H AND USES 1 GALLON OF GAS EVERY 30 MILES. IF THE CAR STARTS WITH A FULL 12 GALLON TANK AND TRAVELS FOR 5 HOURS AT 5O MILES/HOUR, THE AMOUNT OF GAS USED WOULD BE WHAT FRACTION OF A FULL TANK?
ANSWER: 25/36

total fuel = 12 gallons

With 1 gallon he can travel 30 miles

so with 12 he can travel 360 miles

Now he travels 5*50 miles=250

so used/total=250/360 =25/36

Total distance covered = 50*5= 250 Miles.
so, Total gallons used = 250/30 = 25/3
fraction = (25/3)/12 = 25/36
