ques At liz bakery 2/7 of the cupcakes sold during august had chocolate frosting and i/4 of the other cupcakes sold had sprinkles. if s cupcakes with sprinkles were sold in august, then in terms of s how many cupcakes with chocolate frosting were sold?

c 8s/5
d 25/s
e 28s/5

Hi,
Fractions are 2/7 and 1/4. So, take LCM of 7 and 4 for plugging.
If 28 cakes are there, chocolate frosting ones are (2/7)(28)=8
Remaining cakes are 28-8 = 20
Sprinkled ones are (1/4)(20) = 5
So, if s=5, chocolates ones are 8, ie 8s/5

Hence, C

yes I can get ans with this strategdy. I have some different approach. 2/7 are chocolate frosting.
1-2/7= other are 5/7

Now remaning 1/4 of remaning aee sprinkles. then 5/7*1/4=5/28


from here i am lost. what to do
