SShah...

sorry to hear. I take the gmat for the 2nd time (530 1st attempt) on june 4th. My G/F is taking the GRE..and unless you are a WIZ at verbal..it seems hard!..but then again, I only quickly glanced at it.

BTW..what were your scores on the GMATPrep tests?

I don't think the GRE is easier than the GMAT. As mentioned above, I think the verbal is harder (especially all the crazy vocabulary).

Scoring sub-500 means you need work on the fundamentals. Start reading more. Take some time away from GMAT math and work on basic algebra and mental math. You need to set a foundation before that score will increase.

But take heart - I have seen students improve from the 400s to the 600s, so it can be done with lots of work and the right attitude. Take a break, regroup, and get back on the horse!

You can get it if you really want it. You can get it if you really want it.

But you must try. You must try. You'll succeed at last.

My first go I got a 470...My second go I got a 430.

Don't give up! I'm going to re-group and tackle the basics again and so should you!

Good luck!
